Monday, July 23, 2012 PHILIPPI, W.Va. -- Alderson-Broaddus Athletic Director Dennis Creehan has announced the hiring of Nathan Harold as the new Lady Battler Women’s Tennis Coach. Harold and the Women’s Tennis Team will compete in their first season of competition in the WVIAC and NCAA Division II this fall. “I want to thank Mr. Creehan, the selection committee and Alderson-Broaddus for giving me the opportunity to work on this staff and be a part of this fine college,” said Harold. “I am aware of the work that must be done to put a competitive team on the courts, and I am ready for the challenge. Every future Lady Battler Tennis student-athlete will work hard, in the classroom and on the courts, for this school, for their coach, for their team, and for their future." An Ohio native, Harold has 14 years of experience as a Head Coach and Assistant Coach at the High School levels. Most recently he was the Boys Tennis Head Coach at St. Thomas Aquinas H.S. in Canton, Ohio. Prior to his stint at St. Thomas, Harold served as the Assistant Boys and Girls Tennis Coach at Canton McKinley High School. “Nathan Harold brings an excellent level of passion and experience to this position," said Creehan. "Recruiting for Women’s Tennis is a challenge for any coach, but I am confident that Nathan will have no problem building this program into a competitor within the WVIAC.” Harold graduated from Kent State with a Bachelors of Science in Recreation, Parks and Tourism Management.
