PHILIPPI, W.Va. -- Alderson-Broaddus women’s secured a 1-0 double overtime victory against Urbana University Thursday at the Multi-Sport Performance Stadium.

Sophomore Olivia Augustine crushed the game-winning goal with 2:48 remaining in the second overtime period. Augustine took the shot off a corner kick from senior Gwen Brand placed to the left of the goal. Augustine punched the ball into the back corner past the Blue Knight goalkeeper.

Blue Knight senior goal keeper Megan Taucher recorded five saves in regulation, but surrendered the deciding goal.

The Battlers outshot Urbana 13-7 in the senior day victory. Augustine and senior Nicole Lehman led A-B with three shots apiece.

A-B begins the 2012 West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Friday facing the winner of the first round fourth versus fifth seed matchup. Friday’s game will be played at the Multi-Sport Performance Stadium and is tentatively scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
