PHILIPPI, W.Va. -- Alderson-Broaddus women’s soccer posted three goals en route to its ninth conference victory Tuesday night, a 3-1 win against West Liberty University at the Multi-Sport Performance Stadium.

"I was really pleased with the effort and intensity of our girls tonight," said Head Coach Patrick McGinnis. "Very proud of this group on finishing up a great WVIAC regular season. We need to work hard to fix the little things and focus on execution as we move towards the conference tournament."

Sophomore Olivia Augustine, the reigning West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week, gave the Battlers the lead less than a minute into the second period as she crushed a pass from senior Taylor Bryant past WLU goalkeeper Hannah Judkins.

A-B extended its lead behind senior Nicole Lehman’s team-leading ninth goal of the year. Lehman was assisted by sophomore Valerie Barlow at 74:26.

The Hilltoppers cut into the A-B advantage as freshman Nancy Isner fired a shot into goal with 3:51 remaining. WLU managed just two shots in the contest.

Senior Amber Kling quickly returned the favor and scored the game’s fourth goal at 86:42. Freshman Harley Morrison provided the assist, her first of the year.
