PHILIPPI, W.Va. -- Cedarville University shot 58 percent from the floor as it defeated the Alderson Broaddus women's basketball team 80-57 Saturday afternoon.

Kayla Jenerette scored 23 points to lead the Yellow Jackets (11-8, 7-2 G-MAC) to their second win of the season over ABU.

The Battlers (3-17, 3-8 G-MAC) shot 46 percent from the field in the opening half of play, but committed 14 turnovers to give Cedarville a 12-point lead at the break.

ABU's shooting worsened after halftime and the blue and gold shot 35 percent in the second half. Nautica Davis (Cleveland, Ohio) and Sydney Shaffer (Toledo, Ohio) both scored eight points apiece in the final 20 minutes.

Shaffer and Davis were the only ABU players to score 10 or more points with 11 and 10 points respectively. Rachel Ashley (Teays Valley, W.Va.) pulled down a team-high eight boards.

The blue and gold hit the road Thursday to take on Salem International University. The conference tilt tips at 6 p.m. ET.
