PHILIPPI, W.Va. -- The Alderson Broaddus women's volleyball team swept the University of Pitt-Johnstown 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-23) Tuesday evening at Rex Pyles Arena.

The Battlers (17-13) recorded a total of seven team blocks and were led my Megan Christmann (New Carlisle, Ohio) with four block assists. Junior Kayla Peterson (West Liberty, Ohio) came away with a double-double (12 kills and 18 assists).

Ashley MacDonald (Canonsburg, Pa.) logged a team-high 16 kills and three block assists. Senior Jillian Brown (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) compiled 16 digs in the contest and Lauren Hogan (Springfield, Ohio) added eight.

ABU never trailed in any set except the third and the match featured just nine tie scores.

The Mountain Cats (22-8) recorded a team total of 39 digs, 31 assists and compiled a .168 hitting percentage. Kelsey Shanabrooke paced UPJ with 12 kills.

ABU hosts Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) opponent Ursuline College Friday, Nov. 15. Game time is set for 6 p.m. ET.
