Volleyball Loses a Pair of Matches in Lock Haven Tournament

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- Alderson-Broaddus women’s volleyball dropped consecutive matches Friday to LIU Post and Malone University at the Lock Haven Invitational at Thomas Fieldhouse. The Battlers lost 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-21) to LIU Post and took one set in a 3-1 (23-25, 25-17, 25-21, 25-21) loss to Malone.

Junior Makamae Namahoe led LIU Post with 16 digs and a match-high 12 kills and freshman Monica Amador supplied a match-high 19 assists.

Battler sophomore Kayla Peterson notched seven kills, 15 assists and four digs in the loss.

Peterson shined in the 3-1 loss against Malone. She recorded a team-high 26 assists.  Juniors Jillian Brown and Ashley MacDonald each compiled 16 digs in the nightcap.

The Battlers continue in the Lock Haven Invitational Saturday with matches versus Lock Haven and Queens (N.Y.).
