PHILIPPI, W.Va. -- Alderson-Broaddus College Athletic Director Dennis Creehan has announced Nicki Evans as the Assistant Marching Band Director.  Evans will be in charge of the Auxiliary Units of Color Guard and Majorettes for the 2012-13 school year.

“Nicki brings an unbelievable level of excitement and energy to the Alderson-Broaddus campus, and is another great example of the transformation that is occurring here at A-B,” said Creehan.

Evans most recently served as the Caption Head of the Reeths-Puffer High School and Middle School Colorguard and Winterguard in Muskegon, Mich.

Evans brings 10 years of high school colorguard/winterguard coaching experience to Philippi, including state and national championship titles.

Prior to coaching, Evans spent eight years marching in a nationally competitive winterguard.

“I’m really excited to share my knowledge and passion of Colorguard with the Alderson-Broaddus campus and our future members,” said Evans.

Evans currently resides in Clarksburg, W.Va., with her fiancé Michael Crane, the A-B Men’s Volleyball Coach.
