Va. – Alderson-Broaddus College and Athletic Director Dennis Creehan are excited to announce the hiring of Brian Schiffbauer Jr. to start the Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams which will compete in the D2 and the WVIAC in 2013-2014. “I want to first thank Athletic Director Dennis Creehan and all of the members of the hiring committee for this wonderful opportunity,” Said Schiffbauer Jr. “To have a chance to start two NCAA programs from the ground up is such an unbelievable situation that I couldn’t be happier to be a part of. I am excited to join a growing and successful athletic department at Alderson-Broaddus.” Schiffbaeur comes to Philippi by way of Painesville, Ohio, where he spent the last six years as a student and employee at Lake Erie College. He spent the last two years as the Men’s and Women’s Assistant Golf Coach while finishing his M.B.A. During his time as a member of the Storm Coaching Staff, the Men’s and Women’s teams reduced their average team scoring by 7% and 11% respectively. As a player the Mentor, Ohio, native was twice named to the 2nd Team All Allegheny Collegiate Conference , a two time AMCC player of the week and three-time Lake Erie College Storm Athlete of the Week.
