Despite narrowly missing a third consecutive trip to the WVIAC tournament, the 2009 club tied a school record for victories established last year at 29-11. The mark was achieved despite playing 25 of the first 26 games of the season away from Jack Funk Field in Philippi.  Eighteen players will return to the program next season.

Several Battlers also received WVIAC post-season honors, including the following:
