Alderson-Broaddus freshman Jenny Brewer was selected as the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Cross Country Freshman of the Year and earned First Team All-Conference honors this weekend at the WVIAC Championships. The St. Mary's, W.Va., native also finished ninth in the 6k event.

Freshman Zach Partyka recorded a pair of goals and two assists last week for the men's soccer team. Partyka helped the Battlers to a 3-0 win against Ohio Valley Monday.
