PHILIPPI, W.VA. -- There's no hiding the fact that big things are coming to Alderson-Broaddus College.
The multi-million dollar project involving a state-of-the-art football stadium finally broke ground on Saturday in Philippi.
The construction has already begun for the new stadium, but Saturday's ceremony officially kicked off the process.
The stadium will not only be the home of football, but will also house the men's and women's soccer and lacrosse teams.
The stadium will be finished by the summer of 2013. Athletic Director Denny Creehan says the entire process has impacted the students more than anybody at A-B.
"The students that are here; I'm sure that they've gone through a few years where they've said, 'Oh boy.' To actually see dirt moving and see progress being made is just a huge spiritual lift for all of them," Creehan said.
