PHILIPPI, W. VA— Alderson-Broaddus led for much of the second-half and played a close game throughout, but #6 West Liberty hit their free-throws down the stretch to hold off the Battlers, 79-72, in WVIAC action.

Trailing 40-38 at halftime, the Battlers (1-2, 1-1 WVIAC) went on a 12-4 run out of the locker room to take the lead.  However, West Liberty (4-1, 2-0) held A-B to just three field goals over the final 10:35 and went 4-4 from the line in the waning seconds to earn the victory.

Roy Brown led the Battlers with 18 points to go along with six assists, while Kurklin Bohannon chipped in 17 points and a game-high nine rebounds. Nate Barnes and Kason Frierson added 14 and 11, respectively.

Cedric Harris led four Hilltoppers in double figures with a game-high 26 points. Chris Morrow tacked on 14 for West Liberty, while CJ Hester and Alex Falk added 11 apiece.
