Philippi, W.Va. -- The Alderson-Broaddus Battler Baseball used strong pitching in game 1 and good hitting in game 2 to sweep Ohio Valley Wednesday afternoon. 

Game 1 - 2-1 Win

The Battlers used two runs in the bottom half of the 6th inning to rally to defeat OVU 2-1 in game 1. 

With one out, Mitch Roy walked and then moved to third on a Bobby McLaughlin double and both would cross the plate on Jeff Conley's two run double. 

Starting pitcher Kyle Oney went the distance giving up 1 run on six hits while striking out four.

McLaughlin and Conley registered all four Battler hits.

Game 2 - 11-4 Win

A-B raced out to a 4-0 lead and cruised to a 11-4 game 2 victory.  

Starter Paul Gonazles picked up the win, going five innings, giving up four runs on 9 hits, while striking out 3. 

Bobby Williams pitched two innings of shutout ball in relief. 

McLaughlin and Roy each had three hits.  Kirby Clemens knocked in three, Conley and McLaughlin each drove in a pair.
