Fairmont, W.Va.-- The Alderson-Broaddus Baseball Team used a brilliant pitching performance by Kyle Oney to help take game 1 of the weekend series with Fairmont State, 6-0, Saturday afternoon.

The Ohio native scattered three hits, while striking out 11 on his way to a complete game shutout. The Senior allowed just one runner to reach 3rd base.

Mike Hackett and Brandon Gignac each drove in a pair of runs. 

The Battlers got a pair of runs in the 1st and 6th innings and single runs in the 3rd and 5th.
