Head Coach Luke Harrigan has led the Battlers to consecutive winning seasons in his first two years at the helm of the baseball program.

Harrigan led the program to an impressive 29-win season in 2012 and a trip to the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship Game. The Battlers finished in second place and their 29 wins were the most in program history.

He led a young Battler team to a 23-21 record in 2013 season and secured another winning season for A-B. The Battlers finished the 2013 campaign with an impressive 11-9 victory over Division I Youngstown State University.

Several Battlers have earned conference, regional and national honors under the tutelage of Harrigan. Outfielder Sean Collettee batted .405, drove in 44 RBI and earned National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) All-American, all-region and First Team WVIAC All-Conference honors in 2013. Pitcher and outfielder Jeff Conley picked up Second Team All-WVIAC accolades and NCBWA All-Region and American Baseball Coaches Association honors in 2012. Conley compiled a 2.79 ERA and was selected to the First Team All-WVIAC in 2013.

Harrigan was an assistant coach at his alma mater, Adrian College from 2006-08. During his time as the recruiting coordinator, the program reached new heights by winning the NCAA Mideast Regional and making a trip to the College World Series. The Bulldogs finished the season ranked fourth nationally.

After the 2008 season, Harrigan was an assistant at Division I Bowling Green State University before signing a contract to play professionally as a player/manager in the German Professional League.

In 2010, Harrigan returned state side as an assistant at Adrian College helping the Bulldogs to back to back titles before taking over at A-B.

Harrigan also coached at Franklin College in Franklin, Ind., in 2006 before returning to his alma mater.

As a player, Harrigan led Adrian to its first out-right conference title in his senior season. He was a two-time First Team All Conference catcher and team MVP in his senior season. Upon graduation, Harrigan played summer ball for the Springfield Giants and won the Semi-Pro NABF Major Division World Series in Louisville, Ky.

Originally from Urbana, Ohio, Harrigan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in health and physical education from Adrian College. He is also finishing his Masters Degree in Sports Management at the United State Sports Academy in Daphne, Ala.
